Some KOTIN desktop PCs include display screens on the PC case and/or CPU cooler. These screens may show information such as the KOTIN logo, CPU temperature, or other system status details.
If the screen is not turning on, or if it only shows the KOTIN logo without system information, please follow the steps below.
Common symptoms
You may need this guide if:
The case display screen does not turn on
The CPU cooler display screen does not turn on
The screen turns on but only shows the KOTIN logo
The screen does not show CPU temperature or system information
The screen worked before but stopped after shipping or moving the PC
Why this may happen
Some display screens use an internal USB 2.0 connection. During shipping, movement or vibration may loosen the internal USB adapter or connection.
This does not always mean the screen is damaged. In many cases, reconnecting or testing the internal USB connection can resolve the issue.
Before you begin
Please turn off the PC completely and unplug the power cable before opening the side panel or touching any internal cable.
If you are not comfortable opening the PC or checking internal cables, please contact KOTIN support before continuing.
Step 1: Check the display software
If your screen requires software to show system information, make sure the required software is installed and running.
If the screen only shows the KOTIN logo, the screen may have power, but the data connection may not be working correctly.
Step 2: Check the internal USB connection
Turn off the PC and unplug the power cable.
Open the side panel carefully.
Look for the internal USB 2.0 display cable connection.
Check whether the adapter or USB 2.0 cable has become loose during shipping.
Reconnect the cable firmly if it appears loose.
After reconnecting, close the panel, plug the power cable back in, and turn on the PC.
Step 3: Test the display screens without the adapter
Some systems use an internal USB 2.0 adapter so multiple devices can connect to the motherboard.
To test whether the adapter is causing the issue, please disconnect the adapter and connect the two display screen USB 2.0 cables directly to the motherboard USB 2.0 headers.
Then turn on the PC and check whether the screens work correctly.
If the screens work after bypassing the adapter
If the case screen and cooler screen work correctly after being connected directly to the motherboard, the adapter may be loose or faulty.
Please contact KOTIN support. We can help review the issue and arrange a replacement adapter if needed.
If the screens still do not work
If the screens still do not turn on, or still only show the logo after connecting directly to the motherboard, the screen or its cable may need further support.
Please contact KOTIN support so we can help determine the next step.
What information should I send to support?
Please include:

Product model
Which screen has the issue: case screen, cooler screen, or both
Photos of the screen
Photos of the internal USB 2.0 connection, if possible
