Getting started with your KOTIN desktop PC

This guide will help you set up your KOTIN desktop PC for the first time.

1. Inspect your package before setup
Before using your PC, check the shipping box, packaging materials, and computer for any visible damage. If the box or product appears damaged, take clear photos before discarding any packaging.

We recommend keeping the original packaging for at least 7 days in case you need return, exchange, warranty, or shipping support.

2. Check what is included
Included items may vary by product. Please review your product page or order details to confirm what should be included, such as:

Power cable
Wi-Fi antennas, if applicable
Manuals or printed materials
Other accessories listed on the product page

If anything appears to be missing, contact us with your order number and photos of the package contents.

3. Place your PC in a safe location
Place the desktop PC on a stable, flat surface with good airflow. Avoid placing it in enclosed spaces, on carpet, near liquids, or close to heat sources.

Make sure the air vents are not blocked.

4. Connect your monitor
Connect your monitor cable to the correct display port.

If your PC has a dedicated graphics card, connect the monitor to the graphics card ports, which are usually located lower on the back of the PC. Do not connect the monitor to the motherboard display ports unless instructed.

Your PC and monitor may use HDMI, DisplayPort, DVI, or VGA depending on the model.

5. Connect keyboard, mouse, and internet
Connect your keyboard and mouse using USB ports or the included wireless receiver.

For internet connection, you can use Ethernet or Wi-Fi depending on your PC configuration. If Wi-Fi antennas are included, attach them before connecting to Wi-Fi.

6. Connect power and turn on the PC
Connect the power cable to the PC and wall outlet or surge protector. Make sure the power switch on the back of the PC is turned on, then press the power button.

The first startup may take longer than usual while Windows prepares the system.

7. Complete Windows setup
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete Windows setup. You may be asked to select your region, connect to the internet, sign in with a Microsoft account, create a user account, and choose privacy settings.

For security reasons, we do not know or store your Windows password.

8. Install updates
After reaching the Windows desktop, check for available Windows updates.

Go to:

Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates

Restart your PC if Windows asks you to do so.

9. Check basic functions
After setup, confirm that the display, keyboard, mouse, audio, internet connection, and any included accessories are working properly.

If something does not work as expected, check all cables and restart the PC before contacting support.
