Enabling TPM 2.0

TPM 2.0 is a security feature required by Windows 11 and some security-related applications. Many modern systems already have TPM 2.0 enabled by default.

Do I need TPM 2.0?

How do I check if TPM 2.0 is enabled?
Press Windows + R, type:

tpm.msc

Then press Enter.

If TPM is enabled, Windows should show TPM information and the specification version.

How do I enable TPM 2.0?
TPM settings are usually found in the BIOS or UEFI menu. The setting name may vary by motherboard brand. It may appear as:
